Signal scoreboard
Which signals have actually worked?
Every one of our curated signals, scored on its own in the backtest. Each time a signal read tailwind or headwind on a monthly checkpoint, that's one call; we then check what the stock did over the next month, three ways: up/down right, beat the market (vs the S&P 500), and beat its sector (vs the company's sector fund).
How to read the ranges
A hit rate on 25 calls is a rough guess. The 95% range shows where the true hit rate plausibly sits given how few calls there are (a Wilson score interval). If the range includes 50%, the signal is Not proven yet: it could be a coin flip. Only a range entirely above 50% earns Holding up; entirely below 50% is Worse than a coin flip. With a few dozen calls per signal, most signals honestly land in the middle.
Closest to proven
Ranked by the low end of the beat-the-market range, the most cautious read.
